i love my p320 but the edge of the trigger guard scrapes across my finger on the draw. I’m thinking of trying to radius the edge a bit then smooth it out a bit.

What tool(s) do I need to round and smooth it? I assume a file of some sort? A dremel? Some sort of sandpaper to smooth it? I picked up an extra grip module to practice on, so if I screw it up that isn’t a worry.

Those of you with experience messing around with polymer frames please chime in.

Buy a needle file set, you'll find other uses for them too.
You won't need a "premium set as you are only filing plastic.

I find holding them backwards and pulling them rather than pushing them gives you much better control on the cutting.
I also prefer needle files with no handles, and add a golf ball for a handle when needed.

too much info I know,
:D

I have done it to a number of M&P's and Glocks; the new M&P M2.0's have re-contoured this trigger guard area so its generally not a skin burner any more.. Slow speed dremel with radius similar to desired contouring. Then polish with felt bob at higher speed for a little bit of heat generation to smooth the polymer. Then wipe with 70-90% isopropyl alcohol to remove the slightly grey color surface that occurs with the process. It turns out nicely.

You could even use an xacto knife as a scraper and do it quickly especially with one of the curved blades. Not every job requires power tools. Polymer is fairly soft and easy to work. Some woods such as mesquite and ironwood are much harder and tougher to work.
