Whatever became of the SCAR?

What ever happened to the FN SCAR that was adopted by special forces? Is it being issued? Did it disappear?

It is currently in LRIP status.

LRIP = Low Rate Initial Production. That means that FN is in the process of ensuring that they can build the gun under prodution conditions, and still have a product that works. This is typically the most difficult phase of any military program
