i trying to buy alot of 40 s&w ammo and i looking for a great website that sells ammo cheaper than most anybody know of one i thougt that by buying a case of a 1000 it would be cheaper but it doesnt seem so

I like Kyle's Gunshop. Kyle is one of the good guys who is quick to ship and follows up easily with email, etc. If you don't see something you want he will try to find it for you.

Try the-armory.com. I think I saw PMC reloadable brass 1000rd cases for $300

Check out the BVAC ammo at www.surplusammo.com They have have a store near my house and I buy all my guns and ammo from them. Best prices around.

Also try www.aimsurplus.com and www.jgsales.com

I looked at the ammo engine, and they seem to only return results for a few companies. Aimsurplus and Surplus ammo both have better prices for 9mm than ammoguide returned and competitive prices for .40.

I have found the best deals using this search engine, http://ammoseek.com. It searches a number of retailers throughout the country. You just plug in various the various criteria and it does the rest.

Walmart is the cheapest I've found. I don't think you can beat their prices on Federal Champion. I see some cheap crappy ammo online for similar prices, but hardly ever cheaper, and no where near as good as the Federal Champion. 9mm is the same way. I've yet to find anything any cheaper online or anywhere else.

That may be true, when they have it in stock, which is not always the case in my local store. The thing about Ammoseek is they check a multitude of stores/sites and give you the best price from each.

I didn't mention this in my first post above, But my LGS regularly beats Wal-mart ammo prices and has a much better selection. They just started selling online so im not sure on shipping prices but their prices are hard to beat.
Visiting the store can be a pita tho since its so busy you have to take numbers and wait a pretty long time and odds are the saleman will will be a grumpy old guy.

www.Natchez.com used to be decent but I've since bought a press so I've not been there in a while. Also don't forget gunbroker. I bought a case(1000) of CCI aluminum 380 for $167 shipped

Wallmart get the TUL, it was like under $9 a box for 9mm, and 13 for 380.

Checked out their site, and I'm not sure how their prices are in the store, but on their site, I didn't see anything even as cheap as Walmart and that's not including shipping.

I've purchased ammo from ammoman.com -- prices include shipping. Inventory changes frequently, but if you hit it right you can find some really good deals on cases of 500, 1000, or 5000 rounds.
