BigIron is indead having some problems of late. I ordered some bullets two months ago and still don't have them. However, They sent me a refund and are going to send my order via UPS any way. Frustrating, yes but I don't think they are in any way dishonorable or dishonest. Small businesses run into rough patches now and again and they are going through one now. Frustration is an appropriate recation to this but unkind words are not.

Positive thought

I don't know beans about history of problems. I can attest to the big rain and floods we had here in Ohio recently.

Jule just called me on his dime and I hope to meet him in person this coming weekend. Got a revolver cylinder that needs his special nipple tool (or fired from a cannon, depending on my mood.

I would suggest though that anyone wanting custom gun works or custom parts of this speciality, Get used to long lead times with a small business. They have lives as well. Most of them are reputable and live on their word.

If you can't live with that kind of service, suggest you take up a different sport. (might I suggest skydiving)
(you don't like the way the chute opens, take it back, no questions asked.)

I thought that the post office subcontracts with Fedex, at least for Priority Mail anyway. Before a Fedex plane departs, the Priority Mail is then loaded provided there's room after the Fedex packages have been loaded, and then maybe the rest of the mail does too, again providing there's room. That's the reason why Priority Mail has that name, it's given priority. I'm not totally sure how it all works, but the USPS doesn't own planes, and the Fedex planes probably wouldn't be full of cargo otherwise.

That is correct, FEDEX does carry around USPS Priority Mail on their planes after their packages are loaded. Not sure if FEDEX moves FCM et-al or not. Some services are ground (or whatever is cheapest) and are priced likewise. I've got a notion that mail is also transported on regular planes as well, especially after what I heard one commentator saying on FNC this afternoon.

Needless to say, the only parcel that's ever been lost on me went through, of all places, Las Vegas- which is not rural by any perversion of the world. The seller was able to demonstarte that the PO was in fact at fault (DC went dead after check in at Las Vegas), but was generous enough to issue a refund, to help a customer.

Speaking of Fedex and damaged packages. I ordered a hand truck a couple weeks back. That's like a flatbed with push handles, for moving inventory around. You could put a V-8 engine block on that thing safely. Anyway, they managed to BREAK it in shipping! How do you break a steel hand truck? Now I'm having to deal with a stack of paperwork and finger pointing. I need the truck for loading and unloading merchandise at gun shows and a show is coming up soon.
