Full size 1911s ------------ 230 gr. Federal Hydra-Shoks.

Para Ord CCO ------------- 165 gr. Federal Hydra-Shoks.

For each, one back up mag of H-S and two mags of hardball.

I like to have some ball ammo in my carry gun in the off chance that my HPs are not penetrating properly. Here in the frozen upper midwest I also worry about some of the large coats and other outer garments people wear in the winter. I like the idea that my third shot will penetrate better. As for Murphy I have never knew that their could be an issue with using differant bullet types. I have been shooting HP, and FMJ out of one mag for years and have yet to have any issues because of it. I have polished my feed ramps, and keep my guns pretty clean so maybe you guys that are having problems should look into that.

1911s-All 230gr Gold Dots all the time, except for volume plinking.

GP-100--Winchester 180gr Partition Gold in the cylinder, 158gr Gold Dots on the Speed loader since they both impact at the same point at common self-defense distances. 38sp for plinking with a few SD rounds mixed in at the end for re-regulating the sights.

10mm PowerBall ...... well, I also have my Steyr .40 ready, and I use Powerball in that one as well.

Georgia Arms 124 Gr +P Gold Dot in the chamber followed by 9 in the mag. Last round is an S&B FMJ.

Just in case. ;)

My upstairs gun is loaded with old black talons. 147 grain. It is aSig 226 with N/S. My downstairs gun is loaded with Corbon 165 grains. P-99. My travel gun is loaded with cor-bon 200 grains. Sig 245. And my ten bore nef is loaded with whatever, etc.....

45acp Federal Hydra-shoks in mags #1 and 2. FMJ in mag #3

My latest pistol, a CZ-83, has S&B FMJ in it now. Hasn't been qualified in HP ammo yet. Take care of that today after Sportsmans Warehouse opens.

I chose other. Since my G-22 is also my duty gun, I keep it stoked with Speer Gold Dots all the time. Off duty I carry a BHP. When I go out running, I load it with ball since any encounters I'll likely have is of the furry kind. Any other time, it too is loaded with GDs.

All hollowpoints.......124 grain +p Golden Saber 9mms in the weapon, and Hydrashoks in the spare mag. (because I'm too lazy to go out and get more +P rounds and I shot up the others :))

9mm: 115gr Winchester Silver Tips.

.45: 230gr Federal Hydra Shocks

.357: 158gr Federal Hydra Shocks

.44 Mag: 240gr Winchester Soft Point (that's a hunting load)

All golden saber 165 gr in a sig229.
they feed flawessly under all conditions so why carry FMJ?
I did change to golden sabre over win silvertips as i noticed the silvertips did not penetrate well in all materials. Sabres tear up anything.
they are also the most accurate for my 229 as well, nother bonus!

Federal Mil Spec 230 grain FMJ in the H&K

Winchester White Box 115 grain in the Glock 26. However in this caliber I would probably carry 147 grain gold dots if I had the time and money to be 100% sure of their functioning. I feel very safe with FMJ though.

95 grain Win Clean in 380 auto. This will be my carry load in my new NAA Guardian assuming it proves reliable. I’m taking it to the range for it’s first time tomorrow. I’ll try to give a range report when I have time.

Humans are tough animals, penetration is good. Preferably thought both sides, stopping just underneath the skin on the other side.
