A lady at work asked me today if I was into guns and shooting. Naturally I said that I was. She said that she had several guns that she wanted to get rid of. The guns were hers and her husbands. Her husband passed away several years ago and she no longer has the desire to keep the guns. I told her that I'd stop by after work and take a look at the guns.

I stopped by after work and this is what she's got. Husqvarna sweedish mauser 6.5x55 made in 1942. Very good shape. A Ruger P85 9MM excellent shape. A Marlin Golden 39 commemorative 22LR that is in very good shape, but has been shot and high serial #. A Henry lever action 22 LR in like new shape. A .380 pistol, I didn't pay too much to it, Don't know the make or model It's in good shape, but I'm not too interested in the .380.

In addition to the guns there's misc. ammo, cleaning kits, sand bags etc. I was thinking about making an offer for the whole lot. I was thinking about offering $800.00 to $900.00. I don't want to rip her off, nor do I want to part with more cash then necessary. Also, If I decide not to buy the guns myself, I'll probably help her sell the guns so either way, it'd be good to know what the guns are worth.

What do you guys think?

I'd probably put the Swede Mauser at $250 (IIRC the Carl Gustaf ones are more valuable - probably closer to 400 for one in such good condition).

The Ruger pistol I'd peg at around $200-250. I paid $320 for a brand new P944. I seem to remeber seeing used P85/89 pistols at the same time for around the price noted above.

For the other stuff, no clue. A good place to check are the online auctions like gunbroker.com and auctionarms.com for what they are actually selling for (just search for items that have already closed).

Overall, $8-900 seems like it might be a little low for the whole shebang. The sum of the parts would probably be more than that, but to take the lot, so long as the .22s aren't much more than a couple three hundred each, $1000-1200 might be more reasonable for the guns. If I were her, and offered that amount, I'd though in the misc stuff just to get rid of it.

But I could be way off on my estimates.
