What's the best value in a stripped AR lower?

Looking to buy a stripped AR lower as a project. Are some better than others or are the differences in prices related to who's name is stamped on them and/or the finish on them?

What's the difference between a cast and forged receiver qualitywise?

They are all "basically" the same. Personally I would get a Stag, Mega, Superior, RRA, or Bushmaster. Most likely the receiver will be an aluminum forging that is annodized. I usually will throw a layer of Norrels or GunKote on a new reciever because I think it holds up better, matches the upper and the lower (colorwise), and the annodizing makes a great surface to bond to.

EDIT: More money doesn't mean better. You can easily spend a lot of money on a receiver, but just remember, it is just a box to hold parts.
