...Ammo that is - whether steel core, or bi-metal jacketed, neither is permitted at two of my 'local' OUTDOOR ranges?!?! These places don't use (or even permit) steel targets, nor do they appear to use steel backstops, just your basic big berm of dirt.
I just don't get it. What's the problem with allowing steel core/jacketed ammo in this situation?
The ranges I'm referring to are Bald Mountain and Island Lake State Recreation Areas, run by the Michigan DNR.
