I have an itch to get a 9mm revolver. I have autoloaders up the ying-yang in that caliber and want something I can slip into the pocket to go to the local stop and rob and take to the desert for plink'in. I already have .38spl and .357mag snubs, so I'm not interested in those at this time!! What I am interested in is how these little fellas have stood up and what the quality is now that they have been out awhile.

I understand the stellar clips have been a sore point with owners. Have they gotten any better?? How about aftermarket clips???

Any info is greatly appreciated!!!

Don't know much about them. Ruger made some SA's that had a 9mm cylinder. Be advised that the 9mm measures .355" whereas the 38/.357 measure .357 unless you get a 9mm barrel, accuracy will suffer.

I've seen 2 dealers locally that had them in stock. Didn't last long. Could be not many have been made or dealers are still may be still smarting from S&W 940 (which got in stock and stayed in stock for extended periods of time). A local Sports Authority had a 940 back in '90-something when I got my 640. Looked at both. Decided on the 640, but kept my eye on the 940. It didn't move until they cleared their handgun inventory. Seems like it was several years. I've been told by more than one dealer that they have a real hard time moving 9mm revolvers, so they only get them when a customer special orders one.

Personally, I like 9mm revolvers. I have a nice 3 inch SP101 in 9mm. If I happen across a 940 that isn't insanely priced, I won't hesitate.

lol

I own one .. seems to be ( under 100 rds shot ) a fine little hideout, it will shoot " min of pop can " @ 15 to 20 yrds ... a bit low with +p ammo

I consistently see some Taurus 9mm snubbie in SS with a no spur hammer for $269 at TX guns shows.

I bought one a month ago and intended to write a review and post it. However on it's first range outing it had so many light strikes that the dealer sent it back to Taurus. It hasen't come back yet. Another thing I found was that unlike my 625, the rounds flopped around a lot in the moon clips making a fast reload impossible. That to me negates any advantage to a small frame 9mm revolver for CCW. I don't mean that the rounds would come off the clips but that they would't stay alligned with each other and with the cylinder very well. It took a lot of fiddling to get the moon clip in the cylinder. I also found that accuracy was not so good. In the order of 12" at 15 yds. I suspect if you slugged the barrel it would be .357 and not .355 but that may have been due to flinching because of the click-click-click-boom-click I was getting. One thing I liked was that the frame and chlinder were shorter that a .38 making it about the most compact snubby I have ever seen. I will post more when I get it back.
