Supposedly CAI fixed the issues there were having and now this is a reliable weapon. Anyone have experience with these?

While I'd never put "Century" and "reliable" in the same sentence, I am also curious.

To shed some more light on the question, there have been some Century Galils spotted with non-ORF receivers out in the wild. Nobody (at this time) seems to know who's providing them to Century.

I'd have trouble believing that Century could fix a sandwich.

According to the owner of the one I've actually seen, the US parts are pretty good (not including receiver heat treat problems) but all the Israeli parts on it had seen lots of hard use. BSW

If they work as well as my R1A1 (FAL with a made up name by Centry), I buy one and be glad I found a bargain.

The price on the originals is out of sight.

Man, I am glad that you are pleased with your R1A1.

If it works like the R1A1 that I had, I would sink a trotline with it.

I know that they have a bad reputation, but I have not had a problem with any of their rifles that I own. I have a R1A1 on an Imbel receiver that works great and I had another on a hesse receiver that worked good also. It seems that their products are hit and miss!

True. I didn't have the Imbel receiver-- and I had unibrow feedramps.

I may have gotten it to run and would therefore have a different opinion, but it was stolen in a home robbery before I got to work on it.

I almost feel sorry for the sucker that stole mine.

Almost.

I got lucky and both of mine had the widows peak feed ramps. I am glad because I really did not know sh%& about them when I bought them. I love my FAL now. I sort of regret selling the other one, but a real good friend wanted it and I hooked him up.

Frow what I have read I got lucky with my Golani as well. I have been shooting it for over a year now and have no problems at all. Built like a tank and accurate too! My poor little Bushmaster hardly gets out of the safe any more.

Picked one up today. It runs like a champ on the two provided surplus mags. The internals on it are in great condition and it's on a Caspian receiver. I'm very happy.
