What's up with Cannon?

I am having some issues with a Cannon safe that is just over a year old. The electronic lock won't open on the first try, often not on the second. I've called Customer Service several times, and they keep telling me to change the battery, adjust the battery contact tabs, etc., but none of this is working. I need to talk to someone about getting this fixed, but the last two times I called (in early December) and left a message, no one called back. I called a couple days ago and the tech support line goes straight to a message saying the mailbox is full, please call again later.

Does anyone know what's up with Cannon? I thought they were a reputable company, and bought a safe on that basis, so I'm confused about why I'm getting such slow customer service.

Thoughts?

Friend of mine was a locksmith for many years, said he made a bunch of money off people who owned safes with electronic locks.
Don't know that I'd blame the brand.

Try pushing the handle all the way in the closed position before entering the code and hold it there if it tends to naturally come off that point. When you enter the code you'll here a click sound, then try unlocking the handle. The mechanism seems to need some positive pressure in that direction or it doesn't open reliably....at least that is what I have found on mine.

They have the best warranty in the business, haven't you heard?

Their written warranty is great. Getting ahold of somebody to do something about it is the problem.

If you Google a bit, you will see others with very similar issues with Cannon. I posted a few weeks ago about the very same thing. A local guy has a safe with electronic lock issues, but we can't get Cannon to answer or calls, or return our messages.
