Hmmmm, maybe we should all throw some money into a pot to pay the legal fees of trade marking "Assault Weapon". Then we could sue anyone who used it without our permission.
I own an airsoft gun and some are incredibly realistic. I have a desert eagle .50 AE version of the desert eagle, full trademarks with magnum research on one side and the other with israel military industrys. It's made of a ABS plastic by tokyo marui in japan but the plastic is really chromed well, heres a picture of it.
Even has the moving slide when it shoots gas powered.
This particular gun was called the Crosman Stinger R34 and, according to a promotional ad I found on the Internet, it's modeled after the "legendary AR-15" assault rifle. Which, it so happens, is one of the many assault weapons that were illegal in this country until last year, when the Republican-controlled Congress allowed a 10-year ban to expire.
I used to live there. There's some damned good reasons why they call the place Berkeley East, and this fellow seems to be trying his hardest to personify them.
Ad hominem comments are not quite "the high road." Rip his article to shreds, like it deserves - it contains multiple factual errors, which is just about what one can expect from the consistently shoddy journalism from a liberal "news" source, as the Capitol Times seems to be when it concerns the topic of firearms. But please do so in a well-thought-out and carefully argued manner.

Surely this is a joke meant to rile up us right wing gun nuts! What a bunch of mamby pamby left wing BS. It contains every cliche in the book from teaching kids to be killers by buying them toy guns to kids shooting each others eyes out with Red Ryder BB guns. I played with toy guns as a child and was quite able to tell the differance between play and reality. As kids we all played cops and robbers , cowboys and indians, and war. If we didn't have toy guns a stick or piece of conduit would do nicely. It was part of growing up. No body was trying to form me into a killer.
