Which would be historically correct. Keeping one's finger off of the trigger until ready to fire is a very recent development, sometime in the mid 1980's, IIRC.Well, 1911 guy has his finger on the trigger.
Maybe it became popular to keep the finger off of the trigger until ready to fire sometime in the 80s; but I was trained to shoot like that in the 60s right up through today. I have seen films/photos as old as the hills where shooters do not keep their fingers on the trigger until ready to shoot.
