Was watching a episode of Gangland on the History channel, and came across this:

1911.jpg

now that is impressive!!!!... seriously! wow...

I know that film makers are not the most thorough, but is it really that difficult to have someone onset to catch these things? I suppose the great majority will never know the difference..

I'm guessing its not a real gun, and a cheap propr at that. Real 1911s don't look like that. There is no cut out in the frame for the slide stop to be hit by the magazine follower and the safety isn't even in contact with the plunger.

It probably got broken like that when you downloaded the torrent.

It's called a TV Tuner card and is completely 100% legitimate. There are ways to watch TV on the computer in WMP without breaking the law. Maybe it was on Hulu or something which I believe is available with it's own desktop client and also in WMP.

Let's check our information before we start labeling criminals.

Poor finger placement on the trigger of that improperly assembled prop gun, he is going to be pushing his pretend shots all around his make believe target during his simulated gun battle.:what:

This "blooper" was either caused by a fake gun, or somebody trying to be sure the real gun wouldn't actually fire.

More than likely they didn't think we'd know the difference, which is unlikely, if you've ever cleaned a 1911A1.

Actually, there are more that a few guns that could function, and
*gasp* even fire with the slide stop installed 180 off, it should be rotated around so it would be, as you can see the stop would only have a short (nub) or a swagged ball bearing to control placement, since thats the milled indents where it should rest.

If it's a swing link or modified browning, still goes bang, some early time pistols (look up rubies, beretta 1915 and browning's early pocket models) the slide stop also functioned as a safety and was designed to rotate like that.

The ammo is loaded into the magazine backwards? HK doesn't proofread their advertising?

The "Accuracy, Reliability, No Compromise" just adds to it. LMAO. I think if I was an exec at that company, I would call the guy who ran the ad into my office, tell him to bring that weapon and hit him with it.
