What's Your Favorite All-round Pistol powder

I'm currently using Win231 for both 9mm and 45 and it works great for the light to medium loads that I shoot. Meters very well and pretty clean. Haven't tried anything else.

Why?????
Powder is the cheapest component in reloading. Use the powder that performs the best in your particular caliber/bullet combination.
Experimenting is a large part of the fun.:)

I load Unique in 38 spl, 357 mag, and 40 S&W, works great in all.:) If there was only going to be one pistol powder on my bench, no doubt it would be Unique.

I use Titegroup in 9mm and 45 auto. I like TG because it meters very good in my pro auto disk. There are a lot of other good powders.

+1 W-231

Love that stuff. Behind that, Power Pistol, HS-6, Unique would be the other three I've literally tried in darn near everything with good results. Just my opinion.

Hodgdon HS-6. I'm using it for both 0mm and .40 S&W. It has a little sharper kick to it than what I was using previously, but there are no signs of overpressure so I'm fine with that. And it seems cleaner too, even compared to factory ammo.

Titegroup.

It is economical and very very flexible, from light loads to full power.

I use it in shotshells, too.

W231. Lots of load data, easy to meter, works in a lot of pistol loads.

But looking for a cleaner one with less smoke.

Hard to use up at 5gr at a time. :)
