favorite trouser belt

I wear the Don Hume leather trouser belt. It is lined 1 1/2". It holds its form and comfortably carries my Sig 229R Don Hume holster. Don Hume leather products are superior. Go to www.gunnersalley.com For $51. it is worth the price. Do not by cheap Walmart special "pleather" belts.

I ordered a Rafter S belt based on the recomendations on this forum. I orderd and payed for the belt seven weeks ago. The belt was to be shipped after three weeks. After unanswered emails and numerous phone calls I still don't have a belt.
Every time I call I am promissed that the belt will be shipped next week. Every week it's the same excuse.
I do not recomend Rafter S

Another vote for Galco. In belts that thick and stiff, their pre-shaped is as good as it gets, doesn't strech out of shape with time. The one I'm wearing now is 5 years old with daily wear and is still plenty firm for a holster.

I ordered a Simply Rugged 1 3/4 Real Man's belt with border stamping. It arrived a couple of weeks ago and I think it's great.

THICK but not TOO thick. It fits all my pants' belt loops and has the heft to hold my El Paso #88 securely without being too dang heavy. And it was only 60 bucks.

I have a Beltman, wouldnt trade it for any other. I have seen the Galco belt which I think is great option. I know people who have Milt Sparks belts who are happy with them.

beltman all the way! I went with the double layer and internal stiffener. 7 holes also.

I used to have a galco, but it turns out that the belt buckle has a lot of nickel and I found out that I am alergic to nickel and break out in a rash. That does not happen with my beltman belt!

I told my wife that I needed a belt that would hold up to my pistol, a Ruger P345. A few days later she came home and said she found a belt for me. First thought, "oh crap, what did she do?" She paid 12 dollars for it, its a Dickie, I really thought, "Oh crap."

But the belt is 1.5" wide, full bullhide, good and stiff, in just the right way and comfortable to wear. I have worn this belt everyday for about 5 months, carrying my pistol and it still looks like it did the first time I put it on. You do not have to spend a lot for a good belt, I just think I will always tell my wife when I need a belt from now on.
