I have been running 165 gr Golden Sabers from Double Tap through my Glock 20, and they seem to hit very hard.

Just wondering what you folks prefer for HD, urban carry, woods carry. Do tell.

I also like the DoubleTap 165's for home defense.

I prefer the DoubleTap 180 gr XTP for woods/hunting.

Thinking about trying some of those new 135 gr loads that scream out of the barrel at 1600 fps.

I love DoubleTap's ammo and will be shootin' a bunch up tomorrow.

However, in my custom-built CCO, Winchester's 175 gr. Silvertips are extremely accurate and so that's what I'm carrying.

Of course, they're also the BEST if I'm ever attacked by vampires, werewolves, el chupacabra, etc. ;)

DT is good stuff. I load my commercial ammo to a bit less. Easier on the shooter and gun. BG or critter won't tell the difference.

I've got 180 DT gold dots, next to my bed. i found those to shoot to be the best compromise between accuracy, recoil and power.

My DE did not care for the silver tips Groups were about 1 1/4" larger then normal.

Anyone ever hunted with DoubleTap's 200gr controlled expansion JHP's?
Those look like a good woods defense load. I am currently using their 200gr FMJ-FP, but I would like to use an expanding round if it still penetrates enough.

I agree with TAB. I used to use the 165gr DT Loads, but have switched to the 180 Gold Dots. great expansion, and I always liked the recoil of the 180s versus the 165s for some reason. Loaded to 1300 fps, these bad boys will take anything on 2 legs, and quite a few 4 legged beasts too :what:
