9mm - universal, W231
.40 S&W - American Select, Universal
.45acp - Clays, American Select, W231
12ga - Clays, American select
28ga - Universal, Alliant 20/28

I like using powders that can do double duty for both shotshell and metallic.

For years, H4227 was my "accuracy" powder for cast bullets in .22Hornet & .222 Rem. Last fall, I discovered clean burning Vihtavouri N110.
Hodgdon Titegroup for .32 WCF., .38Spec., & .45 long colt revolvers.
H4895 for cast bullet use in .40-70 & 7X57
TrailBoss for cast bullet loads in 6mm Lee-Navy
IMR 4227 for cast bullet loads in .38-55 Win
Swiss 3FG black for .25-25 Stevens in Ballard No. 3
Swiss 1 1/2 black for .40-70 Remington Mid-Range

I still have dies and components for guns I no longer own, so perhaps there's not a clear answer.

.50 Beowulf, .45-70, .44 Magnum, .44 AMP, 7.62x54R, .303 British, .30-06, 9mm Parabellum, .380 Auto, .45 Auto, .357 Magnum, 7.65x53 Mauser, 7.7 Arisaka, .256 Mannlicher, and as soon as I finish up the dies, two wildcats.

9mm, .40S&W, 45ACP - W231
7.62x39, .223/5.56 - Accurate 2015

I'm not really into searching for the best powder or the best load. I am more concerned about reducing cost and complexity. I want as few powders as possible that will get the job done These work well enough.

Lets see---------I reload 35 calibers of metallic cartridge, 10, 12, 16, 20, 28 gauge, and 410. I have about 40 different propellants on hand most times and a bit of black powder/substitute. I will not be typing all that out.:neener: Suffice it to say that I do not need to go to the store when I want to try a new load for most anything I choose to attempt. I do not have many VV propellants however for whatever reason.
