when was it made and whats it worth

the barrel has been finished w/bead put back....or how much if i put a full length barrel back on it

With out pictures or knowledge of it's condition , only a value range can be given. With a 100 percent finish, a Model 12 field grade is listed at 750, at 50 percent finish left it is listed at 400. That's with the original full length barrel.

do you think it would be worth my while to purchose a full length barrel, then try to sell it or trade?

Again, pictures would be helpful. If you buy a new or used full length barrel, the finish will probably not match the receiver. How much do in the gun now? Have you priced a replacement barrel? Google Winchester Model 12 barrel and you will find those who know say replacing the barrel is often a job for a gunsmith. More $$$. I'd try selling or trading it as is. Or I'd keep it for home defense.

You might want to double check that the barrel is a true 18", you sure don't want it any shorter than that.
