It is a 67-1
4" barrel, square butt, 38 special, stainless steel, blued rear sight, non pinned barrel.
serial number 98K3414

1981 production. When shipped anyone's guess.

Does it have the "heavier" non-sculpted
barrel or the "tapered" one and a smooth
or serrated trigger?

Suspect it was assembled right at the
transition period dropping the barrel
pin which started "officially" in 1982.

The 67 was my first issued sidearm, back in 1987. I'm pretty sure mine was a "pre-dash" example. I shot it quite well.

I bought a 67-1 a couple of years back as mostly a nostalgia piece, to replace that one. I'm not at home to look at it right now so I don't have the serial handy. Mine has the pinned barrel, so it must be older.

They're nice revolvers.

EDIT: Went home and looked at it. I was wrong; mine isn't pinned. I must have been thinking about a different gun.

Original Model 67 here, stainless sights and all :).

These older guns get buttery smooth with use, mine was well treated by its original owner and is a dream shooting both single action and double action.

Stay safe.

Thank you Uncle Ed!
My gun has a tapered barrel, and a serrated trigger.
