"While I am an advocate of strong gun control measures it would be disingenuous of me to say that any gun law could have prevented this" - Pa. Gov. Rendell speaking on the recent Amish school shooting

In truth, there was one law that could have saved
them and that was the Second Amendment.

The right to keep and bear arms.

Charles Roberts had no prior criminal or mental
history. He purchased his guns legally.
Nobody could see this coming and for whatever
reason he snapped. Much in common
with columbine and all other school and
university shootings the killers knew that the
soon to be victims were unarmed.

Just before the killing began there was an
opportunity to respond with a gun and stop him,
but we are talking Amish country.
And the same can be said for any community or
individual who chooses not to exercise that right.

People who are determined to harm or kill cannot
be stopped by a law but only a bullet. And the
ignored lesson that is repeating itself is that if you choose to
place the safety and security of yourself and
family in the hands of others. Then God help you
should you fall victim to a shooting, when it is
too late to change your opinion about owning guns.

Your going to hear again the usual rant about semi-automatic
rifles being banned but keep in mind. The Second Amendment
is not about hunting but the ability of the people to wage war
against corrupt government. And as we all know if our ability
to defend ourselves against criminal government is removed then only
criminals and government will have them. The thin line between
them seems to be getting more and more blurred every day.
