Maybe he wants to know HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU wipe down and re-oil firearms that have permanent residence in the safe?
My answer: not nearly as often as I should.

WELL to start something...
Everytime I go to my gunsafe most of my guns are always dirty. Even though I clean them after the range (till the patches come out spotless), the guns always seem to have some brown 'dirt' on them. I also have a dehumidfier in the room as well as a desicant can in the safe so I don't think it could be the moisture getting to them. The only ones that seem to be getting dirty are my Mosin, XR-100, and Savage .22lr. These finishes aren't the shiny blueing but more of a matte color.
Will putting them in gun socks help?

I've owned firearms for over fifty years and the only brown "dirt" I have ever seen on my guns after cleaning and storing is RUST. From the "patches come out spotless", I'm assuming the offending stuff is in the bore. Do you store the gun with a dry bore? If so, you have set the bore up to rust. I suggest running a patch wetted with a preservative (I use CLP) down the barrel before storing. Clean, bare metal WILL rust - dehumidifiers and dessicants merely slow the process down..

nope, I wipe down the bore with a patch of RemOil before putting it away. I am talking about the metal surface of the firearm.

A dirt that comes from nowhere is almost certainly rust. I have run corrosion tests for about 4 years now testing the most popular lubes, greases, and waxes. I can tell you RemOil is one of the worst oils I've ever tested and it usually looks similar to the "control" piece which has NO oil or preservative on it by the end of the test. You would have to be diligent with Rem Oil to rely on it in some environments.
RemOil is by their own website MSDS 50% mineral spirits. This is why it evaporates so quickly and cleans so well. I spent the first 10 years of my shooting career using RemOil and I thought rust was a way of life with guns, until I tried something that worked much better. I'm sure some people will chime in about how much they like Rem OIl and never had a problem with it, but all things being equal Rem Oil will be outperformed by almost any other oil available. Even engine oil or Hoppes #9 will stave off rust noticeably better the RemOil. I'd get the VCI tabs or cards and put them in the cabinet too. A cheap digital thermometer that reads humidity is a big plus too. Keep it under 50% to be safe.
Products I've tested of with excellent rust proofing capabilities are: Corrosion X, Eezox, BF CLP, Outers Gun Oil, Gunslick Metal Seal, Gun Grease etc.

Well the thing I like about RemOil is that I can clean every part of my gun with it. Could I use BF CLP to clean each part, aside from bore, like the receiver, bolt, metal surfaces?
Absolutely. You can use it the same as RemOil and it will last much longer and protect about as well as anything. BF CLP was originally designed in the mid 70's by a plating and finishing company. They were having problems with flashrusting of parts that were prepped to be finished. BF CLP was the product designed to protect bare steel in an environment rich with gases and fumes that promote rusting of bare steel. WHen you here people say they don't like CLP because it's a "do everyting" product that does nothing really well, you can be sure you are talking to someone who has never run a corrosion test of gun lubes.
The recipe has been modifed over the years since the mid 70's but it is still very effective at rust protection.

I keep a few rags soaked with Balistol sealed in ziplock bags on hand. I try to wipe down my guns about once a month and everytime they are handled, even if they aren't fired.
