Why don't you use a crossbow?

I've never been a "bow" guy to begin with, and the place where I usually hunt, bow season I leave to a severely wounded warrior, busted up in Iraq. He gets a deer or two and is usually done before October. I probably will get a crossbow if the neighbor's adult daughter who just moved onto 40 acres will let me onto her new place.

I have 9 tags for 2017:
1 cow elk tag
1 white tail doe tag
1 mule buck tag
6 mule doe tags

It starts for my Oct 21, unless I can get an antelope tag.
I drive the 900 miles a couple weeks before the opener, and practice shooting at long range.

That's a lot of tags. I'm only allowed two in my region, 1 "any whitetail" and 1 antlerless.

One buck per year and several doe depending on county for Ohio.

My bow opener is in about 30 days and i cant wait. I was out cutting trails and putting up cameras Monday and it started to cool down and get dark and it lit my fire big time.

If I bow hunt from Oct 1 until Jan 15, I'm allowed 2 Bucks and 4 doe.
