Well.. I had a VERY good powder day. I was running very low on a bunch of this stuff and finally got the call!

If any one is in the Pittsburgh, PA area and needs powder..feel free to reach out to me and hopefully I can point you in the right direction. I should be good on powder now for a few months.

So....what time does your store open? LOL.

I pick up a pound or two here and there when I see something I use and it's in stock
Thats the way to do it. I wouldnt have got the HP-38 had I known I had all of the W231 I have. Oh well. I've been trying to find some place around here to ship some of it to other people but no luck yet. darn haz-mat.

Mine usually comes UPS. I dont know for sure, but I think you have to go to the UPS main place in your area, not the little "stores" but the full on place where the trucks are loaded and so forth, and ship from there. But definitely check first!

I managed to scrounge all this in the last 24 hours locally. There was much more to be had but I chose to leave some behind for others. Hopefully it will last me awhile.

I was able to score some VV N320 from PV, never used it before but heard it is good powder for pistols. I have only used Hodgdon's so I guess I will have to work up some new loads.

I scored today as well. LGS would only let me buy 1 can per type. Other wise i would have had a truck full.

That one's purdy too Farmer. BTW I like your signature line. Im a produce distributor myself, so we probably have some things in common. Of course I'd be lost if I had to grow it though!

Been trying to get back into shooting my .243 and .244.

Was able to score on a couple lbs of 4350 and found 200 CCI BR2's locally but can't lay hands on any Sierra 70gr HPBT bullets to save my soul. Trying to buy 2 boxes of a hundred to go have some range fun.

Got plenty of revolver stuff to keep me going for awhile.....what's up with the Sierra rifle bullets? Retail stores taking over the supply for awhile?

Jframer

I have come to like Ramshot Silhouette/AKA WAP. I haven't seen any on the shelves in about a year. Anyone seeing any of the Ramshot powders in your area?

Thanks Havok, I might be that way, near Tulsa, late summer/early fall to see my folks. Maybe they'll hold some for me. ;)

I used to live in Oklahoma City which is where the components were located. If you can delay your trip until November, the Wanamacher Gun Show in Tulsa is the largest in the world. I have been twice and never failed to find any components, even during the height of the shortage. The last time I went, they were selling cases of primers - 7 pallets worth. I also bought over 16 pounds of powder between the two trips.

My LGS finally got some powder in two weeks ago--25.50 average
yesterday somemore came in $32.00 #
They said the factory increased the price-I was wondering ?

I'd bet the biggest price jump came from the distributors, not the factory. I'm sure the factory did raise prices a small amount but that kind of jump seems like it's more the middleman cashing in on the crunch as well as the retailers getting their share while they can. Nothing wrong with it, though. It's how they make money. You can't sell from an empty shelf.
