Highly recommend Defender Ammunition from down NC way. They have ammo and bust hump to get it to you. Great company.
Update: I received an email this morning saying the CCI #200s were ready for pickup. Still waiting on the SRPs. Also, from previous orders: BR4s and CCI 200s delivered from bass pro this morning. Persistence and patience are key, especially with Bass Pro. I swear them off often, but then I see a deal I can't pass up. Then I try to check out and get the "insufficient stock" message. Swear them off again, rinse and repeat. Sometimes I get lucky.Have you actually tried to buy some? I got 2k SPP from them a month or so ago, but everything is OOS now. It says "buy online" but if you click it, they're actually OOS.
Learned somehting yesterday. MidwayUSA had small pistol primers yesterday. Missed it. Im on email notifications from them. So why no notification? I messed up. You have to click on notifications for all sizes listed. I only had notifications for 1k, not for 5k. Thought this would cover anything listed. Wrong. Apparently no 1k for sale. Looked at my notifications and discovered this. Live and learn.
summersenterprisesllc.com has lots of coated lead ammo if you are looking. 5% off on $150 purchase, so I should be good for a while. Good prices, plus 5% off? Deal. And it didnt say 8 weeks to ship either. Doing a search to look for issues, and found they are on this page for good suppliers.
My research says to stay away from lg outdoors.
Considerable amount of unresolved complaints even before the shortage. I put them on my ignore list well before current issues have everyone scrambling. Please do your own research, I've not been scammed by them but at the time of my research I only felt that was the case because I've never given them the opportunity. Others may feel different and only my personal opinion
they are selling Federal 150 lg pistol primers at $110/k here. https://ammoseek.com/reloading/primers?ikw=PistolBoth sides of the story and to be fair. LG Outdoors and Wholesale Hunter are sister companies located about 5 miles from me. I purchase all my powder and primers from them in their store. Their powder and primer prices in the store are cheaper than any in-store (BP, Academy, Cabelas, LGS) prices I have found.
Their in store inventory on primers is thin right now but their prices on primers are in the $26-35 per k range. Customer service is also very good. If they don't a powder I want they will order it with no hazmat charge.
Was that the Cabella’s listing? Mine hasnt, but its on the trail. I bet it will be. Ive followed that email path before.Anyone buy CCI primers last night and get their orders canceled?
I tried at about 2am. Couldn't successfully get the order in and paid for. I kept getting errors and in the end it stated that it did not have the amount I wanted to purchase. I reduced it down to just one and it didn't even have that in stock. sigh.I was referring the the CCI primer link I posted. I don't order from Cabelas because they are too unreliable during times like now where there is high volume. It seems like whatever software platform they are using form their e-commerce and inventory control just doesn't keep up with the volume. You would think a national chain like Cabelas/Bass Pro Shops would be as prepared as some of the other "high volume" vendors that are much more reliable.
Some of your were expressing frustration with orders that you had placed and I was just curious as to whether they were continuing.
And my Cabellas order went kaput again. No surprise.
Don't tell anyone but I'm not a club member and still get the 2-day free shipping over $50 Don't want that fixed. Was that your CCI primer order from Cabelas? They are a waste of time if you are looking for small pistol or small rifle primers in my opinion. Their system just gets overloaded too easily for a major national chain. However, they still seem to be reliable with lower demand stuff like powder and bullets, etc..
I think the other problem might have something to do with shipping to the store. I have never had an issue when I have purchased items online and had them shipped to my door. If you are a club member FedEx 2-day shipping is free over $50
Yeah it's not something super secret.Don't tell anyone but I'm not a club member and still get the 2-day free shipping over $50 Don't want that fixed.
For me I don't pay attention to whether it's in stock at any particular store. For the items I've purchased all it needed to be is available for online purchase, and free ship-to-store available as an option. When I've made such purchases shipping to an address has also been an option. During checkout the first thing I set is choosing free ship-to-store and designating which store I want it shipped to instead of shipping to an address. I guess it ships from some warehouse maintained by Cabela's & Bass Pro Shops, I don't get any shipping paperwork when I pick up my orders after being notified they've arrived at my designated store. That's all internal to Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops with the orders I've made thus far.I’m a little unclear on the Bass Pro ship-to-store option. If you have your store chosen and it says Ship-To-Store....Out of Stock, does that mean that even if you find it in stock at another store you can’t have it shipped to your store or if you find an item in stock at another store can you put it in your cart and then have it shipped to your store when you check out?
