Where are reloading components available (Not a Discussion Thread)

Thanks for the insight.....good stuff I'm inclined to go with the Berry's 125 Gr HP. Pretty reasonable for 1000. Good info on the 158 gr, but in my "new to the fold ignorance", I can't find powder & load info in any of the threads for the Berry 125 Gr.

As soon as I can see some way of marrying up a bullet and power, I'll get some on order so I can load some thing in the next week or so.

Berry's MFG recommends we use low-to-mid range jacketed load data with max velocity of 1250 fps for their regular plated bullets and 1450 fps for their thicker plated (TP) bullets - (I have used lead load data with regular Berry's plated bullets with good results also) - http://www.berrysmfg.com/faq-q9-c1-How_do_I_load_Berrys_Preferred_Plated_Bullets.aspx

.38 Spl Bullets / powder

Finally got it sorted out. Thanks for the help bd!

First time in a long time sifting throught all these powders for the type of bullet kinda made me cross eyed. You can tell its been a long time I did any loading, 'cause I was used to going to the corner gun store, buying the bullets in one of my reloading manuals and getting the powder called out for that particular bullet and walking out with the stuff.

Hope it gets back to that someday!

I'll be lurking about...lots of good stuff on here.

Jframe :D

Reloading components & current supplier inventory

I'm again impressed by the detailed availability reports on component supplies.

bds.....I don't know what you do for a living, or how you make time to stay on top of all this availability data, but it's very much appreciated.

It'll take me a while to get in front of the learning curve since I'm not current on pistol loads. The main frustration I was dealing with are the variables of what powder to buy when bullet availability is also a moving target. Both of which required surfing a dozen or more supplier sites since I don't have a feel for the "better" ones.

Now that I got the stuff on order I'll focus on a set up for .38 spl, and the fun starts.

I can see where this end up getting me back into shooting my rifles again. I've got a .243 on a Model 70 action that I built up with a douglas stainless bbl for varmints 30yrs ago, and a .244 on a 722 Remington that my grandfather bought in the late 40's or early 50's. I souped up the .244 for varmint (groundhogs) and deer. I accurized and checkered / stippled the .244 and wouldn't part with them for anything. I'd still like to bench shoot them just for fun.

Thanks again for all the help......

Jframenewbee, LOL :D - You are very welcome.

Let's just say I work for the government and analyze a lot of data / facility practices - my primary job is detecting deviations onsite that led/may lead to negative outcomes.

Actually it's not that hard to do. I have various vendors' links bookmarked and search parameters set to "in-stock items only" and quickly scan the links to identify popular items in stock which I post here. Compared to my job that often gets intense, posting for this thread is a pleasant "break" for my brain that warms my heart knowing I am "paying it forward" for many who have mentored and helped me in past years.

I have many family/relatives/friends/neighbors/coworkers who use this thread and I am happy to do updates for THR members/guests when I get a chance before work/after work/during travel for work as I have benefitted from lurking THR for years before I joined and started posting.

It's good to see that our tax dollars are being used for such a worthwhile effort! :D:neener::D

Thanks to bds and all contributors to this thread.

Thanks to THR and this thread I have been able to go from never reloaded to loading 9mm and 45ACP in a couple months. I think that is amazing considering how crazy it has been.

Thank you.

Wow, some MG bullets were selling out as I was posting and had to delete them from the list!'

Just now, 9mm 115 gr FMJ 4000 cases sold out!

I am looking for .225 Lyman sizing die I have looked on ebay ( I am not paying more than new price for a used item) Midway, Natchez, Grafs, and midsouth. Does any one have any other ideas or places to look?

Thanks.

I have been pan lubing and sizing with a Lee die but I just ordered a Lyman press and would like to find the sizing die for it.

@grubbylabs: What I've been able to do to find such hard-to-find items is sign up for all email alerts from the companies that have that feature on their website. Keep your computer on at all times with the tabs open to the product pages at the sites where you've signed up for alerts.

Next, when you're walking around the house/work, if you have a smartphone, set it up to receive email that way it will beep and you'll know to go back to the computer to put it in your cart and check out right away. Using this method has helped me land some reloading parts, ammo and other goods that otherwise I keep missing out on. Hopefully this works for you!

I'm looking for .30 cal pistol bullets to load 30 Tokarev. Mainly for plinking but would like some JHPs like Gold Dots or XTPs. I'm not sure yet if I should be using .308, or .312 dia. bullets. It's for a M57 Yugo.
