I have never heard of +P bullets.

Berrys does make some TP (Thicker plating) bullets recommended for higher velocities than their standard bullets.

It was on the midwayusa site, I put gold dots in the search engine. They didnt have any in stock, (9mm) but showed listings, some +P and I just wondered. I've seen Starline and Remington brass listed as 9mm and 9mm+p....I have no idea. Guess I could check their website or inquire via email. Just wondered if anyone knew.

Midway is showing Starline 9mm +p brass as we speak...(They also are showing Nosler 115 grain bullets, 9mm jacketed hollow points. Just saying they arent labeled +P!) Remington 9mm brass in stock there as well...

+P refers to a round loaded to higher pressure than SAAMI standard pressure, which in turn is higher velocity.

According to Starline and many other manufacturers, their +P brass is identical to standard brass, it's available as an opinion for those who want the designation. This lends to no individual component being +P, simply that a round is loaded to higher pressure.

I think they started headstamping the cases with the "+" because when they first loaded to that designation some were loading then in older handguns that weren't up to the pressure. Best I remember there was also a ++P or +P+, cant remember which order is correct that was a little hotter yet.

+p refers to a round loaded above standard pressure. 9mm, 38 spl, and .45 ACP (at a minimum) have SAAMI defined +p pressures.

+p+ is *not* defined by SAAMI and refers to pressures above the +p designation. Some TZZ (Israeli military) 9mm stuff intended for Uzis is +p+.

Since this is the component thread, the obligatory component news:

I was able to find 8 lb kegs of Varget at the gun show in Panama City yesterday. They (Georgia Arms) also had sleeves of primers in small and large pistol and large rifle. They also had Win 748, HP 38, and Win 231 in kegs as well as various other powders in 1 lb containers.

I had looked into that one time. The .gov or the civilian contractor overseeing the auction makes sure you have like $10,000 in the bank all ready to go, almost like having a bond. Then there are a whole bunch of stipulations placed on how you can transport it off base, etc. etc.

While I dont think this is a big news flash or anything, I cant say enough about that Lee 9mm deluxe 4 die set. They are carbide and need no lube, these dies have really worked well. Good find, I'm sure you will love them.

I use the same, but I would strongly recommend either using a diluted lube or adding Nu-Finish to the tumbler before resizing. It only takes one or two stuck cases to irritate you. The LEE 9mm shell holders aren't made to just fit 9mm and will pull the case base out of the holder with a stuck case. The lube also makes the handle pull noticeably lighter.
It's your choice.
