Nothing against anybodies input here, but I'll be glad when this thread is but a memory. Just saying. :)

I think you will like TiteGroup. Meters well and is a very economical powder to use.

Just scored 16lbs of green dot, 16 lbs of long shot and 8 lbs of auto comp from Wideners!

Chrisgo - thanks for posting the heads-up!!! Just ordered 8lb of Promo and 3lbs of Blue Dot. Been looking for the Blue Dot for a long time. Christmas in July.

Added a four of titegroup 4 pounds of 748 and 3 pounds of be 86 to try. Plus two pounds of Varget for a buddy of mine. Thanks for the heads up boys glad I saw this.

I haven't been home to reload for nearly two years, but is it still really that bad to find components?

Primers and brass have gotten easy, at least where I am at. Rifle powder requires some work but is to be had. Pistol powder is like gold these days. I cant say about bullets since I cast my own.

I'm running low on my 8lbs of bullseye for 9mm and not jack around here for local support.

In my experience bullets aren't a problem.. I shoot lead and cast my own 50/50. Dardas, bayou, and Missouri bullets are in good supply.

Well thought I would add to this post here instead of starting a new thread, but has anyone seen any Accurate/Ramshot powders in their area. I've been keeping an eye out for some Big Game, AA 2230, or Exterminator powder since SH and saw it available only once from either Grafts or Mid South in the last 1 1/2 years. No dealer in my area carries the Western brand of powders except Cabel's and Sportsman Warehouse, which are a four hour drive from where I live, and know that they have been out as well.

Funny you should mention. I saw some western for the first time in over a year today at the LGS. He had TAC 30$ lb, 220$ for 8 lber. Also had 3 flavors of pistol powder which i havent seen in a yr or so. PB at 30$ and AutoComp for the bargain basement price of 39.99$ lb. Yikes, i passed. Also had one of the X's, either 700 or 800, cant recall which.

It does'nt surprise me with those high gun show and lgs prices. Guess I'm gonna have to wait it out for pv,grafts or mid south to catch up with inventory. I am a big fan of the western powders. Have'nt shot or reloaded much since sh and been putting my money toward a new safe, a few reloading tools and now a new sig p938.

Agree. Im not gonna get gouged on powder.

My pops just got a p938. He loves it. We havent even test drove it yet, I think Im going to get to here in about 8 hrs though..

At least you can buy it...it will never get down to where it used to be, nothing does, particularly hard to find items like pistol powder. Problem with high LGS and Gunshow prices, it that they usually price it just under what you can order it plus hazmat. The advantage here with online, at least with the better sources, is that you can order in quantity and combined with primers all in one box, with only one hazmat. No such discount at LGS and gunshows! Some of the suppliers required me to buy 1000 bullets to get more than one pound of powder!

At least you can buy it

This is true.
And Im not above buying it for 30-32$ LB, and I have..but 39.99 for a LB of AutoComp just felt to me like he was taking advantage of the pistol powder situation a little. And he has that right, he's the owner. But I passed. Now if I was in the market for some, I may have had a moral dilemma on my hands..

Agreed. But as political times worsen, I get a little more flexible in working that into the equation. We are not quite there yet, and 39.99 is even above gunshow prices I've encountered. If I saw HP-38 for 39.99, it would at least make me think!

Meanwhile, I'm still grieving not having spare play money both times that I have recently seen 4 pounders of Power Pistol!

Yea, I actually did start rationalizing, "well 39.99 is less than 40, and it's really only 7$ and change more than the 32$ I paid here before...."

But after wrestling with it for a minute, I grabbed what I needed (and came for), primers, and got out of there.

LSG powder prices

Yesterday my LSG got in POWER PISTOL, PB, PROMO, BLUE DOT. POWER PISTOL was $22.99/lb, PB $24.99/lb, 8lb PROMO $126.99, BLUE DOT $24.99/lb. I picked up 3lbs POWER PISTOL. Was a few others looking at the powder he got in,
many with a lb or 2 in hand. Called him 3 hours a later, had only 1 or 2 lbs of each left and 1 8lb PROMO. At LSG across town, prices were 15/20% higher. I agree LSGs can price products as they see fit, but as potatohead said, I only pay the big prices if the powder is something I'm out of and don't have another one that will work. Seems when pistol powder shows up @ good price early bird gets it:D

I'm guessing the retailers pay a hazmat fee as well, and likely pay inflated insurance rates to keep an inventory of gunpowder. Like us, they are probably limited on how much they can get right now, making that hazmat fee a larger percentage of their cost.

Things are not that bad (yet) in upstate SC...powder is ~28/lb at the smaller shops (and at Cabelas too!), but places like PSA have it on the shelf for $22-$25 per lb

^^ I have thought that too! ^^

The locals are in the same boat and trying to get powders too. They can't get direct supply like Cabelas can.

there are several vendors natiopnal rifle and pistol matches@ Camp Perry in Port Clinton Ohio that have powder, i picked up a 8lb of bullseye and a 8 of ramshot tac. primer are plentiful too.
