Gun show in Norfolk Va today, picked up 8lbs of be-86 for $150 out the door, now I have to reread that be-86 thread and do some load development in 40sw!

Relaoding unlimited was there with unique, power pistol, wst, titegroup etc charging $40 lb and $220 per 8lb but Mac from Virginia beach had a good selection and relatively fair prices

Yes, I was getting great results until I ran out! The BE-86 is great in my 224 grain RMR heavy plate RN with 5.4-5.5 grains at 1.120. Still have about 700 rounds like this, but havent found anymore until it popped up at Recobs....sadly play money spent on Frankford Arsenal tumbler...could not resist the 159.99 free 2 day ship offer on Amazon.

Went to the range today with a bunch of reloads, the tumbler really cleaned them up!

Ayup, I got mine delivered from Amazon a month ago for $159.99 ... and I am very happy with the product.
Wow! just came back from range, shooting a bunch of my reloads. This brass has been loaded a few times by yours truly, and while clean, (5 gallon bucket, dawn, lemishine method) they are a little dull. Some more than a little discolored. Dumped them (about 200 9mm and 150 .45) in the tumbler with just water and a little of the cleaner that came with it. Just a pre clean, will later tumble with the pins once primers are removed, wanted to see what it would do. 1 1/2 hours later, dumped and rinsed. Yeah, there were 9mm stuck inside the .45, but every case looked like brand new brass! Even the ones inside .45 cases! Five stars for this contraption!

First 8 pounder sighting I've heard of. I would love to find one when I am flush!

There were 4 total there, two each for two venders, of course one was charging $200+ the other $140 plus tax

$140.00? In a heartbeat! $200.00? Nope, I would rather buy the 1 pounders from Recobs.

Just ordered an 8# jug of Hodgdon Benchmark from Wideners. The hazmat charge was rough, but still averages out to under $30/pound, which is certainly better than not being able to find ANY powder locally!

New to reloading. Just ordered 2 x 1# BE-86 and 1 x 4# Power Pistol and some primers from Recobs. Now need to collect some 9mm brass and I can start reloading! Thanks to all for this thread. It has helped to get me started.

I started with Power Pistol, in 380, 9, and 40. I load at the lower end of the charge scale and it works great for me.

Where is the aa#5??

Where is AA#5?
Anyone know if Accurate is making/shipping this powder?
Haven't seen it for over 1 1/2 years.
Getting low, REAL low!

Recobs still has 8lb 700x and 4lb power pistol. I had them in the cart, but I threw them back in, I am still doing ok with those two powders.

I have not seen AA#5 for a LONG time.

I appreciate the vendor's who have held the line on prices and I will make sure to purchase from them far into the future. I figure I have 30 years more of handloading unless the zombies get me.....

You are right--I haven't seen any AA 2/5/7/9 for quite a while. The last time I ordered some AA No. 5 was an 8 lb jug from Powder Valley. I think that may have been in 2013...

jd, I have been watching for #5 & #2 to show up too! Not for me, but for a guy at work. I did see some #9 somewhere listed a couple days ago. I hope that is a good sign for the AA pistol powders.

If I do see some, I'll try to remember you and shoot you a PM.
