Smelting WW’s is out because of where I live. That leaves casting from ingots but I cant find a source for the lead. I would love to hear from members where they get their lead.. Your input is appreciated

I don't quite understand this.

I cast bullets from wheel weights on moms kitchen stove before I had a pit to hiss in 50+ years ago.

Just sort out the zink and painted ones, drop them in the pot, flux them when they melt, and skim off the clips & dross.

You still have to melt & flux ingots, so you will have smoke and fumes to deal with wherever you live, ingots or not.

I'm assuming its becuz the ww are all being made of steel in your area now. Gunbroker, eBay and I believe midway also sells lead. I haven't tried it yet but I read some people use plumbers lead pipe or roofing. I just got into reloading so I'm also looking for additional sources of lead

I've been scrounging at the local outdoor firing range but that has goten scarce due to people scrapping it and less people going there due to price change. I would like to buy in bulk, like 1/2 ton at a time or whatever I have to, to get a good deal. I've called some recycle places but nobody sells they only buy.

Shipping costs for lead makes mailorder impracticle

by local plumbing supplies

i melt down used wheel weights obtained free from local tire shops
