Does anybody know where in the world I could find real black powder in the Cincinnati - Dayton area in Ohio? I know this is a long shot lol. Or maybe how I can look up distributors? T.I.A

Call these places and ask if they have real FFg or FFFg BP in stock + how much is a pound. If they don't carry it ask them if they can recommend a place locally to buy it.
Both places list that they carry muzzleloading equipment.

Couple more places to try:

Up for a road trip? This place carries Goex:

"... look up distributors..." Most are highly unlikely to sell directly to you.
There's a Cabela's in Centerville and West Chester. No idea if either are remotely close to you. I would not even think about buying BP anywhere but locally. Hazmat fees and shipping will hurt, bad.

Call Bass Pro at Forest Fair Mall on Winton Road and ask the firearms guys if they still carry cans of 3F Goex. They kept it in the back behind the pistol showcase the last time I bought some but I have not been shooting in a while so they may have stopped carrying it.

I forgot they changed the name of that mall to Cincinnati Mills.

Thank you, but unfortunately they quit carrying it. I did find a place to buy it though. Kind of a Funny Story actually. I managed to get a number for a place that I thought was a company but when I got there it was just some Farm. Got out and started wandering around wondering if I should be prepared to fight off a kidnapper LOL when an Old Country Boy came out of a log cabin that had on the property and asked if I was the one looking for black powder. Seem like a really good guy stood around and talked about muzzleloaders for a while and bought a can of powder off of him. If you ever need any private message me and I will send you his number. Just a heads up though it's out quite a ways from Cincinnati and even Dayton, it's past Spring Valley (out by Caesars Creek) if you know where that is.

Thanks for the offer Joshboyfutre but I'm set for the little shooting that I get to do. I'm babysitter-in-chief for my grandkids since both their parents work and I'm retired. Now diapers - there is something I'm always running out of!

Federal law says private citizens can buy and store up to 50 pounds for personal use. According to my LGS the fed laws for storage and display are so onerous for commercial sales most LGS don't want to bother. Profit margin doesn't justify the cost I guess.

I just place a yearly order with Graf and Sons, winds up costing around $17 a pound.
