Where can I find a holster designed to fit inside a purse?

I'm NOT asking about a Holster Purse, or a $300 handbag with a hidden compartment for a revolver.

I'm specifically looking for a holster with an over sized back, flange or body but no belt loops. This type of holster is designed to be tucked into the purse the woman already owns, likes best, or is comfortable carrying.

PS
Please don't lecture me about how baaad holster purses are ... my wife won't carry so much as a can of Mace on her person, never mind a gun. Also, a .38 that's 5 seconds away is waaay better than a .45 left at home in the gun safe. I've read about plenty of assaults and attacks where any gun, any where in the room would have saved innocents lives! I'm just looking to buy my wife a purse holster for her new Ruger LCR.

Thanks for your help.

Best wishes,
Commander Crusty

Good question. I've never seen one. How would it attach so the holster would stay put when the gun is pulled? Velcro, snaps?

Yep, a pocket holster is the answer. You can sew some Velcro onto it and into the purse so that it's fastened secure and properly orientated.

The cargo pocket holsters have a bigger back, designed to keep it from flopping around in a cargo pocket. Add some velco so it doesn't pull out when she draws the gun. That is what I am going to be doing for my wife. I posted a similar thread last week, be prepared for a lecturing. Someone actually told me my wife just shouldn't be armed at all if it is going to be in a purse.

CrossBreed Ohai, belcro-backed, comes with loop velcro to sew/stick into a container/purse.

It would offer a lot more retention than a soft pocket holster, and I wouldn't be surprised if a phone call or EMail to CB would get you a larger leather backing than what's pictured.
