Where can I go? Hiking/camping/gun?

Hey everyone,

Im a NJ resident. Let me get that out in the open. Let the hazing continue.

So I am wondering where in PA I can hike and camp that would allow me to carry a rifle. State parks and National Parks I assume are out of the picture. Are there any trails or forest area that allow backpacking with a rifle for protection? handgun with a valid CCW permit?

Im just trying to plan a little getaway from work for a bit. Any suggestions.

Or should I just find some wooded mountain area and just wander, eventually getting lost and gaining several pounds of facial hair?

I would suggest going WEST of the Mississippi

Go west into the mountains, Bedford Co perhaps, and get a hunting license. Expensive for out of state but I don't know how else to do it legally. It's always legal to be hunting something and no law against carrying a backpack. The handgun could be a problem but it isn't like you will be searched.
