I am from a family that never hunted or owned guns, but I started shooting handguns about a year ago. It was very easy for me to find classes on how to shoot them, but I am thinking of moving up to rifles and shotguns now, but I would like to learn a little about them before I go out and rent or buy one. I am more interested in rifles and I would ideally like to be able to try a variety of different calibers and action types. I live in Twin Cities metro area in Minnesota and the closest I could find were a course from the DNR to prepare youth for hunting and a course for home defense, which included shotguns, but not rifles.
