Hello, I have been trying to find a answer to this for a while now. I have wanted to try 50 to 150 yard pistol/shotgun/ar15 shooting at fruit/pumpkin/ any kind of reactive target for a long time. The local ranges are indoors, and wouldn't be a good place to do such a thing. Even the outdoor ranges want paper targets only. I have friends with land that they can shoot/hunt on, but sadly none of them are in this state. Any ideas?

Fruit shooting

Your nearest national forrest would be an ideal place for this. The animals would enjoy a new taste treat.

Anywhere that you are sure you are not endangering someone I guess.

I shot all my Halloween pumkins after i rolled them out on a frozen creek. Alaska pumkins are huge by the way so we made a day of it.

Made a mistake 20 years ago.. A roadside fruit stand gave me a bunch of old squash, pumpkins, decorative gourds for targets.

Took them out to the farm and set em up down close to the tank. (pond for those off to the North and East...)

Lots of fun, my friends and I shot handguns, rifles, blackpowder even shotguns.

2 years later my dad was cursing me for it.. seems all those seeds took root.. Those gourds were worse than kudzu.
