Where can you get the old fashioned Brenneke slugs?

I have been shooting some of the old style 12 gauge 2 3/4" brenneke slug loads in the clear hulls. Amazingly accurate out of a smoothbore for a slug. The ones that I have I bought a while back but I am about out. Where can I get some more of these. I went to MidwayUSA's website, and they had several different kinds listed. I am looking for the 1 oz. slug with the ribs cast on the outside of it, this is the original design and dates back to 1898 if I remember correctly. Thanks.

I appreciate this info, too, because I'm planning on finding out what is most accurate (as well as effective) out of my Mossberg. The 500A will accept 2¾" or 3" shells, but I'm going to try and standardize on 2¾" because that's all my Ithaca 37 will take. Lots of BA/UU/R coming.
I'd much rather pay $2.50/box for Brenneke, unless maybe a price like Midway's included free shipping. This page that someone referenced in another thread says the MSRP for the "original" 2¾" Magnums (211 5409) is $8.45/box.
Other than price, and about 80 FPS more MV, is there any major difference between the -5409 and the 211 5515 "MP" shown above the -5409? (Shown at $6.70 MSRP.)
Is the -5409 the one you call the "K.O.," or are the "MP's" the ones you can find for $2.50/box?
Thanks.

Actually, I think the Brenneke's that you have linked to are different than the ones I have posted.

I don't know the exact facts, but from what I have figured out, Brenneke only produces the actual slug, which they would then sell to other companies to load with their own components. For example, the headstamp on the KO is Kent. The ones you linked to look to be made by a German company (Perhaps Brenneke itself?)

Anyway, I don't know how the KOs compare to those German loadings, but they do give you a real Brenneke slug at a price comparable to the Remington Sluggers and the like.

Oh yeah, for comparison the Ballistics on the KO are 1600 FPS and 2491 ft-lbs muzzle energy.

I believe that a major difference between the Rottweil Brenneke and others that use the Brenneke slug is that it has a felt wad screwed to the slug.

Keep in mind that I'm wrong about almost everything this decade, so don't be surprised if I'm wrong about this too. :)

Yeah, I guess the Dynamit Nobel stuff would be a little pricier. ;)

Hi, Robert. Nope, I think you're right. I got a little more info about the K.O. Sabot from this article about slug comparisons. Then I found another site listing the K.O. (1-oz., 1600 fps) and K.O. Sabot (1-oz. hollowpoint, 1509 fps).
The former does show "Kent" on the box, but the Sabot page mentions "BPI customers." Ballistic Products Inc.?
Edit: Okay, shooterscatalog.com says they're from "BAM," Brenneke America Ltd. Prices are still right up there, even for a case lot.
The prices on those mailordercentral.com pages seemed to be for a case of 50 boxes, and said $3.23 each (box, I hope) for the K.O.'s, and $8.99 for the Sabots. (Which are out of stock, anyway.) Sheesh.

Those brenneke KO's shoot very nicely out of two of my shotguns. I am able to keep 3-4" standing unsupported at 50 yards with only a bead sight. Dick's had a sale on them and I was able to get them for $1.83 a box. Normal price is about $2.10 a box there.

Here's a 50yd group I fired from my 24" H&R pardner with IC choke. 5 shots 3.5 inches with 4 shots in 2.5".
