at ? how about cdnn or ky imports or the gun auction sites ? is there any place you would not deal with bacause you got the shaft before, thanks, keith

CDNN is my favorite place to buy guns. They are great to deal with and have an awesome selection.

I like Bachman's Pawn and Guns, they advertise on www.gunsamerica.com and do the gun show circuit here in TX.

They have good service and consistently has the lowest prices on H&K handguns. Some employee there said they order HKs in huge quantities like 500 at a time to get big volume discounts. I got my Mark 23 NIB from them for $1695.

I used www.gunsamerica.com twice so far and got pretty good deals both times. The first time was with Bachman for the Mark 23. The next time I got a 95% P7M8 from some police officer in NJ. Only paid $750 for it too!

I'd avoid Arizona Gun Runners. I ordered a pair of Hellstorm gloves and an extended floorplate for my USP fullsize. They sent me the gloves and nothing else. When I asked for the floorplate they sent me a USP Compact one. No telling what they will mess up if you ordered a gun from them.

buying on-line

Sporting Arms.com is excellent. Tom and Becky have great prices and great service.

Doc Walthers is also excellent.

Don Nygord has also given me great service.

My one experience of buying a gun from an auction site was disappointing. Gun was misrepresented and I got stuck with a real piece of junk that needed a fair amount of work to even make it shootable.

I've got some limited experience with Gunbroker and Auctionarms, all transactions positive.

On Gunsamerica, I've had trouble even getting email responses from the sellers. Is it really so hard to send a reply saying, "Sorry, gun is sold"? I keep looking, though.

Impact guns is good. I also have bought 5 guns through Auction Arms with no troubles. I just always pay with acredit card so if I don't ever get what I bought I can dispute it with the card company and get my money back.

theres been a couple of threads posted about customer appreciation of CDNN. i bought my steyr pistols and my mauser from them.

as i recall, the few times CDNN has found itself with an unsatisfied customer they ahve been quick to rectify the situation and make the customer happy.

two or three times i've used gunbroker, but i had rather extensive contact with the sellers, either by email or telephone. if the seller happens to be a dealer with good feedback ratings, i wouldnt worry much about buying from therm.

I've bought from both AuctionArms and Gunbroker, both made me a little nervous, but both worked out fine. I also got the phone number and talked with one of them, this can help sort things out.

My favorite place is the classifieds in these forums - bought 3 guns here since September and they were all great deals. See if Wildalaska has anything you want - he's great to deal with.

Superpawn

Themic, I bought 2 shotguns from Superpawn via Auctionarms and both were better than described- transaction was fast and they were very courteous, especially for being a pretty big business- I highly endorse them.

I have used gunbroker.com twice and had satisfying transactions both times.

It is similar to eBay in that you can look up the seller's feedback history. If they have a number of positive previous customers, I feel confident they will continue to behave. Beware of sellers with no previous feedback history, or with negative history.

I've bought from superpawn and both times the guns were better that described, pics could be better both at lease they take more than one.Martin B. Retting in culver city ca is another dealer i've bought from The service was excellent and they seem to auction a lot of S&W revolers

For auctions I buy on Gunbroker all the time. Check the feedback ratings. Don't buy from sellers with no or very few feedbacks. Let the other guys take the chance on the newbees.

I've bought several guns from budsgunshop.com. Both directly and thru gunbroker at first.

WHERE TO BY SAFE

I buy alot of guns on the net. It's not the auction site thats bad,it's the seller. If you get a bad seller you get a bad seller.I've had bad sellers on every site. But for every bad seller there's 1000 that are good. When I buy a gun unseen over the net,you usually get a 3 day inspection.I buy with a postal money order, every post office will cash a postal m/o.If you get ripped off and shipped a postal m/o you at least have the postal police to investagate this crime. They will act on this for two reasons-1.It's their m/o and easier to trace than one you buy at the corner store.2.If it involves a firearm-you bet they'll be right on it.I will buy off the net because it's where the guns I want are.The Other thing to watch out for is the shipping. It doesn't cost over $15.00 to ship a long gun across the country. So,when you are going to bid on an auction site make sure of the shipping.Always read the discription real well.
