I have another thread that kinda got started in this direction but... My colt anaconda is having timing issues. I need a hand to replace my worn one with.

I have contacted numrich gun parts, Jack first, brownells, bobs gun parts, looked on gunbroker, guns america, and auction arms.

I have been directed to Coltparts.com that I have an email pending with but do you know of anywhere else to look for parts?

Colt told me they have it but will not sell it to me without them installing it, I would like to avoid this.

My older GPC catalog shows both the hand and the safety connector (transfer bar), but the web site does not list them. I suspect that the fitting is critical and Colt withdrew the parts from the market to avoid any liability for improper installation by someone else.

I would break down and ship (or have a dealer ship - cheaper) the gun to Colt and let them do the work. They would probably pick up the shipping tab if there was a defect from the factory.

The later guns like the Anaconda were only made a short time.
Since the production life was so short, Colt simply didn't make many spare parts.
Since the parts supply was so low to start with, Colt is retaining most of them for their own use in repairing customers guns.

In any case, a special wider Anaconda hand is something only the Colt factory will have, and they won't sell them to anyone, including any parts houses.

The reason people like Jack First don't make new Anaconda hands is because these are seldom defective parts and there simply isn't enough call for them to make it worth while to go to the expense of setting up the tooling to make them. These parts may look simple but they're more complicated to make than you'd think. Setting up to produce these would cost a significant amount of money. Right now there isn't enough demand to make that economical.
Possibly in the future there will be a market for them and if so, someone may offer them.
