Gabe Suarez is one of those guys whom I have come to highly respect over the years. The quintessential been-there-done-that authority. Inimitable master of dark alley defense. Tactical personal weapons knowledge at its summit.

Yeah, he da man. I learn as much from his posts here as I do from his books. Heck, if I had a dime for every piece of practical advice he’s given, I wouldn’t need to carry a weapon at all. I’d hire him as my bodyguard.

Where’s my generous kickback, Gabe? You’ll be selling more copies of “Tactical Advantage†and “Tactical Pistol Marksmanship†in a week than you have in the past two. Trust me. :D

Actually, I have a bone to pick with you. You have never booked a training course in Deep South Texas, even though there’s a great demand here for instructors like you. Ah, but you’d rather zip off to some foreign country and teach some dudes who will probably teach some dudes who will probably teach some Al-Qaida perp somewhere down the line what they’ve eagerly come to espouse in your class. Given the present global political milieu, that really chaps my hide. Fie on thee, Gabe!

Just chaffing you on the light side, hermano. :D But when can we seriously expect to see you down here? I’ll be the first to sign up lemme tell you. Present domestic and employment conditions won’t cut me the traveling slack I would need to hop over to your next stop in the U.S., and won’t for a couple of years (i.e., two small children and a job with a heavy-gauge contractual tether). So if I don’t go to the mountain…well, I guess the mountain will just have to come to me.

(Look at it this way, boss… “mountain†is a compliment.)

Best regards,

I'm sure SSS author Andy Stanford will be pleased!
Doh! :what: That's what happens when I read straight from the bookshelf in my SOHO without looking twice. :banghead:

Edit: "Surgical Speed Shooting", Read: "Tactical Advantage"

Hey, that gives me an idea. I need to get Stanford down here too.

Lessee... what sould I write... what should I write...? :scrutiny:

As "way down" as we're getting so far is Austin in September for Dynamic Tactics. Of course, we're always willing to travel a little more if there's an interest.:)

Gabe's been doing some classes in Houston, but that's as far south as he's gone, yet.

You might want to check in with him on his own website/forum. I don't believe you will see him around these parts, any time soon.

I noticed that his last post on this board was in September 2003. Wonder if he's been too busy or... (sniffle, sniffle)... THR just didn't do it for him.

:(

He's too busy... He's too busy... Gotta keep telling yourself that... He's too busy. :uhoh:

:D
