U.S.A.
They were made in Conneticut but I think they have moved all the operations to New York now.

O.F. Mossberg, North Haven Conneticut.
You are thinking of the Eagle Pass repair and distribution center for Maverick Firearms.
Would it matter if they were made in Texas?

Last I heard, Mossberg assembles the Maverick Model 88 guns in Eagle Pass, Texas from some parts made in Mexico and the main parts from the US plant.

The Model 500 and 590 series are made in the USA.

Mossberg is still in North Haven, CT.

The Maverick's are made of Mexican and some American parts in Texas. The Brazilian made Mossbergs (the .22s) also come in through Texas. Some Mossberg (not Maverick marked) replacement barrels are also Mexican made.

The pump action Mossbergs and Mavericks are all assembled in Eagle Pass, Texas using parts made in Mexico and Connecticut.

The last 590 box I saw said Maverick - Eagle Pass. That was about a year ago I think. It could just be a distribution point or something I'm not sure. I believe the barrel still said CT. It could be one of those things where they are assembled/distributed from different shops at different times depending on whatever business reason.
