Just bought a Taurus TCP 380 from Gander Mountain yesterday.
They and Academy had no 380 ammo.
I live in Houston, Tx.
Is there somewhere I can mail order ammo from?
Would kind of like to shot my gun.:D

If and when your local Gun Shows are in play, give them a go. Usually, that ammo is on hand.

Must be some Gun stores in the Houston area. Give them a call.

Might want to check Walmart in bad neighborhood. Just realize that there will likely be no ammo sales after 10PM. If you live in area where there is no bad hoods you're pretty much screwed.

Try Freedom Ammunition store. 290 and Jones in a strip center on the Jones Road side. I just pop in from time to time. I don't know if they have a published phone number.

Not a very big place and it is just ammo plus some targets. They sell their own brand of new loads, reloads and they also have white boxes of rounds with blemishes - Blaster I think they are called. I picked up a couple of boxes of Blaster for my old Colt 380 Government and they shoot fine.

I am not saying they have stock but they will normally tell you when their next shipment is due.

Maybe you will get lucky. I cannot say for week days but on Saturday people are lined up outside the door.

I found 10+ boxes of it at the local Coop. (I didn't buy it. I just noticed it was there and wanted to pass it on.) Most people don't think about the local Coops. Give them a call.

Palmetto State Armory has it in stock often.

It's one of the few defensive calibers (other than .45ACP) I still see on the shelves in their brick & mortar stores.

Everyone thanks for the replies

On my next day off I will try Walmart again and go by the Freedom Ammunition store.

Try to find out when some of your local academy's get their trucks. You can call the store at 6 am and ask if they got a truck in, and what kind of ammo they received. Pick a store or two close to where you live or work, and start doing this each morning. You'll have some ammo within a week or two.

gunbot.net Just click on the caliber you're looking for. Live links to venders who have the ammo in stock.
