Where to buy some .38spl Speer Gold Dots in 135gr.?

I can't seem to find any .38 special in 50 round boxes. I'd rather not buy the 20 round boxes. If anybody knows where I can find some, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
 
Check with law enforcement dealers. Speer normally sells 20 round boxes to the public, but will sell the same ammo in 50 round boxes under the Speer Lawman label. Not sure if they're doing that with their 135gr. offering yet, but it's worth a try.
 
I think I might have a couple links. I'll try to remember to post them when I get home.
 
If you mean the new SB 135 gr. ammo I believe its only available in boxes of 20 either individually or by the case. Dennis
 
I can't find any reference to the Speer .38 Special 135gr JHP short barrel load being available in anything other than the 20 round boxes.

None of the LE distributors I know have heard of it either.

Personally I detest 20 round boxes. Especially in auto calibers. I much perfer 50 round boxes..
Although Remington has a good plan with their 25 rounders. That's a half-box.
 
Midway has it in the 20 round boxes.

I read a thread on another board about a supplier that has the ammo at a significantly lower price (50 round boxes too) if I can find the link I'll re-post.

Out of a 642 this ammo leaves you in no doubt that you have fired something :eek:
 
I've bought 50 round boxes from Outdoor America Store a couple of times. Their price was $14-15/box of 50. They're out of it right now, thanks in part to me stocking up the last time they got some in. :)
 
I also have been doing more checking an I am quite certain that the Speer 135 grain .38 Special SB ammo only comes in boxes of 20 and that their 135 grain .357 Magnum SB ammo is not out on the market yet. Dennis
 
Uh ..... as DR said the stuff (38 SPECIAL +P 135 GR. GDHP) does exist in 50 round boxes. I have several boxes of it, part number 53921. I too bought it at Outdoor America Store for $14 something a box. Why someone there says they never have, don't know. They have had in stock several times that I have seen, as recent as the last month, see previous post.

I shop OutdoorAmericaStore in person. On more than one occasion I've asked about the 135gr +P .38 Spl SB Speer stuff. I've always been told exactly the same thing by at least 3 different (been there a long time) sales guys - never heard of it.

If they carry it I've never seen it on the shelf. They've got lotsa 125gr +P .38spl and even some 130gr but I've never seen any 135gr and believe me I've looked.

:( Somehow it doesn't seem right that a local can't get stuff from a store that a guy in :barf: Mass can. ;)

I too have purchased 50 round boxes of Speer Gold 135gr. +p .38 Special on line from Outdoor America in the past...about $14.50 a box as I recall.

Whoa, didn't know this thread was still goin' strong. As Diamondback posted, they have some in the 50 round boxes. A couple emails and I sent them a money order on Monday for three boxes. Hopefully it should be here before the end of next week. It's going into my mother's new .38 special home defense pistol. They also have a url of http://www.floridabullet.net I got email responses to my inquiry from two different people, they both seemed to be nice fellows.

Outdoor America has been out of stock for a little while now, but if I recall in an email to me, they either said they had some, or were getting some soon.

Streicher's also claimed that they had it in 50 round boxes in an email. They both replied after I had already orderered from Florida Bullet though.
 
I just ordered 4 boxes from Florida Bullet. I ordered by phone and they were very nice to deal with.
 
Just checked the outdoor america link from this thread and they now have the 50rd boxes in stock for 14.55. They had 38 boxes, I picked up a few, I am real curious to see how many they have left at the end of the day based on this thread.
