Recently purchased a .380 and am in need of brass. I scrounge all my other brass from the 2 police ranges near me (no public ranges are close). Unfortunately, no .380 to be had at the ranges. Where can I find good quality .380 brass.

I get my .380 brass from the privately-owned ranges at which I shoot. Most shooters don't reload, so I ask if I can pick up their brass. I almost never have anyone object.

Occasionally I buy a 5-gallon bucket of mixed brass from these ranges, and I find a fair number of .380 therein.

You might try the classified section. I've made a few purchases here and had great luck finding some things I couldn't scrounge locally.

.380 brass

if you check with them quite often brassworldshop.com has it at a decent price i just got 200 rd's from them .you can also try dimondkbrass.com i got 1000 rd's from them also .:)

I got a bucketfull for free from friends who sort it out of their 9mm range pickup brass. It's just a nuisance to them, but I'm happy to take it off their hands.

I have some if your interested.
Shoot me a PM and we can work out the details.

I agree, keep an eye on the classified section of this forum and you will probably find some soon and at a fair price.

If you want to buy new Starline makes very good brass and the price is usually slightly lower than the factory name brands. (like Win, Rem & Fed)

I have a few pieces too (probably 100-200) of .380 brass, mostly cleaned and a few deprimed (not resized, they got mixed in with my 9mm brass).

Im looking for some nickel plated 38 special or 357 brass. Other brass I can use is 45 ACP, 9mm. lmk

Thanks for all the responses and offers. I was able to find some brass at a LGS! Couldn't believe that they actually had any components in stock. :what:

herr, very bad advice--you cannot make 9mm brass into .380.
Base on 9mm is .394
Base on .380 is .374
You can't even use the same shell holders!!

You find most .380 brass about 20 feet further back in the weeds behind and off to the side of the firing line then most other calibers of pistol brass.

Especially from the little pocket guns that shoot it.

Can't trim down 9mm to .380? My mistake. Good thing I was corrected before I attempted that on my reloading bench. Sorry for the confusion, I'll delete the original post to avoid the spread of bad info. Thanks for the correction. My *guess* came from trimming down 9x19 Luger to 9x18 Makarov and .380 has often been called 9mm Kurz (or short). Again sorry for the bad information from the novice reloader.

.380 brass

dg308: THE LAST .380 BRASS I PURCHASED WAS FROM THIS GENTELMAN.CHUCK KUNZ <[email protected]> . 1000 NICKEL PLATED STARLINE. YOU CAN CHECK HIM OUT, QUALITY BRASS AT A GOOD PRICE.
