A friend of mine bought some stainless steel stock on ebay, expecting 3" round, but it showed up being hexagon stock. He mentioned wanting to build a cannon out of it instead of his original project. Then visions of lederhosen danced in my head and, after showing him pictures of traditional Bavarian salute gun shooting, he said I could have a foot of it if I bore them out to build some of these monsters.
The plan - build golfball gauge percussion schaftboellers, for the Americanized version of the Bavarian pastime which will still involve bier drinking but will also include targets, requiring comically large sights to sit atop the hilarious looking barrels.
The problem - I need huge, inexpensive, locks and don't know where to find them. Yes, I could make them but that sounds like work and I have a bazillion other projects. I would be willing to make the hammers but I need the locks to be big enough to handle the extra mass.

If you don't know what a schafboeller is... www.Bavaria-boellerschuetzen.de/pages/boeller.php

Okay, since nobody knows of parts for these; what is the biggest commercially available lock? Flint, percussion, or otherwise; are there any reproduction doglocks around?
