where to find information on S&W 760s?

I think these are the coolest looking SMGs EVAR!!! Just wondering where I could find some more information. Rate of fire, weight, durability, ect...

I don't know of any site with all the info but as for durability, I have 56,000 rounds through mine with no parts breakage. That does not count what the police dept that owned it before ran through it. Folded it is 20 inches long, rate of fire about 750RPM, weight about 7 1/2 pounds.

They seem to be one of the most reasonably priced SMGs out there, besides the Mac 10s/UZIs.

Really? Sorta boring to me. One good thing to know is that its basically a clone of the Carl Gustav (sometimes called the Swedish K also). Read up on those as well and you will know much.

They did make a semi-auto version, and someone made a recent clone of those, so you can have one. With a big long dumb barrel. And its closed bolt. And really expensive.

The S&W 76 is not a clone of the Swedish K, Not one part is the same. It is a good represntative of the tube style submachineguns. It can be quite accurate for an open bolt subgun and is a good value for those that are stuck in the Curio & Relic states. There were clones of these made as well but they had some problems with some. No problem that can not be fixed however. The rate of fire is about 750-800 but I have a slow fire conversion of my own design that slows it to about 450-500. The sights suck as they are fixed but an extra shroud with a mount on it and a dot sight like the Eotech and it is very user friendly. The semi-auto versions are different internally and not really any comparison as they are made by the clone company. The S&W 76 was issued to Seal teams up until the early 1980's. They do use Swedish K mags though with some slight filing of the mag in one spot. It takes about 30 seconds to do and they are very reliable.
