After AIM went OOS on it I haven't seen Mosin Nagant any where... I am looking for one under $250 shipped (not $600+....). I probably should have got one when they were like $80....

Yeah, just remember - it's a fun rifle to have except when you start shooting it. After 6 rounds your shoulder is falling off and you have a headache from hell. There's a place by my house called Olde English Outfitters. They sold them for about 129 before the craze hit. Might want to check with them.

Note on AIM surplus. What is the point of having a website for your business and having EVERY SINGLE ITEM OUT OF STOCK?

Unless you're looking to get an M44, 250 is way, way too much for a Mosin. 150 is pushing it, and personally I wouldn't go for anything above 135.

I've bought three, and they have all been at gun shows, being sold out of the big olive crates.

I don't get all the hype about the Mosin's recoil. If all you shoot is .223 it might feel like a push, but even with nothing but the steel buttplate I don't find it pain inducing, although the concussion can indeed cause a headache.

If you have Big5s in your area, they occasionally go on sale for around $130+ tax.

Funnily enough, I was just looking at the CAI website and it seems like they have quite a few in stock. I have no idea how much they are, though, since I'm not a dealer.

The Mosin-Nagant 91/30 isn't that bad when it comes to kick or blast. And that's coming from a guy who weighs 100lbs soaking wet and has a figure like a skeleton on a diet. The worst part really is the steel buttplate, but I'm the only person I know who has that problem because my shoulder has no padding.

The Mosin-Nagant is a fun rifle to shoot all day! 6 rounds is just getting started! The very first day I had my Mosin I put about 60 rounds through it. And that was my first time shooting a full-sized rifle. Honestly, the biggest headache you're going to get is if you buy commercial ammo, as it does cost quite a bit more than surplus.

No clue where you are located but around here I have seen plenty at the gun shows in the $140 to $160 ranges depending on overall condition with a focus on the wood. Also seeing them locally to me on ArmsList for slightly more.
