I have never bought dies from a retailer, always have found them from individuals. I need advice on who/where to buy from. Looking for 44 mag for sure, maybe 243 and 30-30. Help will be appreciated.

I can't post yet in the trade portion of the forum.

99% of the dies I have were from my LGS mostly Hornady, they have the get loaded promotion.
Have bought from midway and they were fairly priced a little bit more than LGS but they had them.
Grafs and sons is another good one,
I would start surfing the interweb and compare.

I've bought from Midway for a couple of sets of dies. I've also looked at Cabela's and found a set for .223, needed another set. Bought a set of dies from Sportsmans Warehouse for an '06, one just has to shop around, they're out there. Another big "IF", with all the new folks starting reloading, if you find new set of dies, you'd best snag em', or they'll be gone!

MidwayUSA.com
Grafs.com
Natchezss.com
Midsouthshooterssupply.com
Leeprecision.com

Those websites will give you a good idea on prices. Shop around and see who offers the best price plus shipping. Ordering just a set of dies really bumps the price up because of shipping. I usually try to add some components or other reloading tools to an order if I find something else I need/want.

I've found some good buys on eBay also. Load up!
Just be aware, Ebay is extremely ANTI-GUN so I refuse to allow them to make money on my sales/buys...

You will soon be able to use the classified section of this forum, it might be worth the wait. I just sold 2 sets of RCBS dies, one in 30-30 and the other in .308 for only $20 each. There are good buys here...

Another vote for eBay. I can usually buy them cheaper from an eBay vendor than a online reloading supply house... I don't see eBay as all that anti-gun since they allow gun parts.

You can believe what you want but they are anti-gun. I'm not going to argue or sidetrack this thread but I know for sure, they are!

Last place I bought was from Amazon. Lee 4-die sets are about $10 off list and Prime eligible, and since we're Prime members, that means free 2-day shipping. You're fortunate to have LGS options; living in the shooting / reloading desert of Central IL, online is generally the best option. I more generally order from Graf's or Midway, which are also both good.

I have a brand new set of RCBS 30-30 Reloader Special dies (2 die set) and a bunch of 30-30 brass. The brass is a mix or Remington and Federal with some primed. Pretty clean brass. If you have any interest I'll post some pictures. I would take $35 including S&H for the dies and brass. Need to do a count on the brass. I have had this stuff about 20 years and don't even own a 30-30. My guess is it's left over inventory from the gun shop we owned. Anyway, if interested shoot me a PM and I'll post some pictures so there is no confusion.

e-bay is anti-gun, but when they went totaly anti the money went down in a hurry,i was put off for a month for listing a canvas magizine pouch years ago and quit them for good at that time. that being said, used dies are a good deal. i bought a used set of rcbs 3006 dies over 45 years ago and still use them. most dies that i have seen that were bad was from misuse by the owner, only one was bad from rcbs a size die split lenth wise and i don,t know why. eastbank.

Amazon has some great day deals especially when you have Prime to get the free shipping. I usually find better deals there than eBay.

Cabelas when they run $5 shipping or $20 off on order over $150 is usually a good deal if you put a few things together in one order. I have hornady everything and the get loaded rebate is additional savings. I just received my 500 .300 caliber JSP bullets from my classic press. That is almost $150 of bullets. A set of dies will get you 100 bullets for only the shipping cost.

Got your PM and replied. Just to be sure we are on the same channel I counted the brass and got 120 pieces. Unprimed 12 cases, once fired 67 cases and primed 51 cases. The dies are RCBS two die set. These are the Reloader Special which means they come in a blister package and you assemble them. I just don't want you expecting a cute little green RCBS box. :)

The dies are new. The brass is good looking and a mix of Federal and Remington. I will send it all USPS second day and trackable. I would like $35 for everything and no charge for the old dust on the dies. If you are good with this just PM me an address to send to. I figure it's a fair deal.

If you like Lee then try fsreloading.com.
Very fair pricing and quick service.
And no I don't work there.

Dies aren't really big ticket items. It's not hard to find a decent deal on dies from a number of sources. The trick these days has been finding the ones you need.

EBay is your friend. Yea there are some sleaz balls on there. But you can piece together nice sets, for way less cost than new die sets. And if your not happy with the dies you got from seller, eBay has buyer protection for purposes. Just read the sellers auctions well and looking at the pics, and ask questions. Don't know why guys say eBay is anti gun and bad mouth them, I can buy gun parts, barrels, reloading stuff(except bullets, cases, powder, primers) magazines, holsters, grips, lasers, all less them a big box store or gun shop.

Once you get one set, you want another one for another caliber and so on and so forth, until you have a parts drawer for dies. (I have 2 drawers for die parts)
