i rat all mine, but i've bought brass from Mike in Co off of the cast boolit forum, best prices i've found bar none, and great service.

i'd private message him before you went to the big guys. he's a top notch person to work with.

Thanks!

Thanks for all the info guys. Now I just need to get a cup of joe and start weeding through web sites.:scrutiny:

If someeone has any other sites for good once fired brass, throw them on here it will be greatly appreciated!

Thank again.

www.powdervalleyinc.com
$20 for 9mm 1000
$25 for 40s&w 1000

not sure about the others.

I bought 1400 pc of 45acp from a fella out of Colorado for $53 including shipping. Good brass, but definitely at least twice fired (not like I care)

I wouldn't give up on ebay until there's no more once fired brass being listed. As of today, it still seems to be business as usual.

I've had Cheyenne Brass recommended, but have not bought from them. Has anyone here? I have successfully gotten good once-fired .223 off eBay, but those days are gone....

I'm not trying to be a smart alec but can't you pick up brass at the range? I have bought a couple boxs of WWB 9mm and have around 6,000 pieces of brass from the range. I have 1,200 pieces of 45 auto brass and don't own a 45 yet. I have also picked up a few thousand 223 cases. All good brass. Maybe I'm one of the lucky few that belong to a good range. Try Pats Reloading, he has some good deals sometimes. Good luck.

Some ranges won't let you pick up brass that's left behind by other shooters. Our range just passed that rule, mostly because they've been taken over by a bunch of jerks. They'd rather have it go in the trash than someone get some use out of it. But I'm not bitter. I'm not bitter.. I'm not......

They've gotten their last work party out of me, so now they'll have to do all that work themselves.............

Are they at least recycling it Fred?

Boneheads, it's reduce, reuse, recycle. Reuse employs less energy in the long run, the brass is already made.

Fred it seems like I see more and more comments like this. It's a shame that the ranges can't be more reloader friendly. They already charge to shoot there, now they have to steal brass too.:cuss: I guess where I live it's a fairly small population so there aren't any public ranges where you can pay a few dollars and go shoot. If you don't join a private club then you better own a lot of land. At the club I belong to we share the brass between the people that reload. I also pick up brass after a GSSF or IDPA match but that seems to be harder to do also.

I'm a past president of the club, and the new bunch resents any of us that have been around for awhile, and aren't shotgun shooters. They collect the brass and sell it, but the move was aimed at me and the guy who used to be the finance officer for the club. We're both avid reloaders and between us have probably spent several thousand hours working on the club facilities over the past 12 years or so. We built the present pistol and rifle ranges and I'm in the process of building six new pistol bays right now. They repay us by making it a rule that no one can take any brass they didn't shoot themselves, and can't remove any lead from the range.

Sorry to vent to you guys, but it makes my blood boil to see "adults" act in such a stupid manner. To top it off, the president of the club also runs the sporting clays business, but claims there's no conflict of interest. He stacks the meetings with his clays and trap shooters and us rifle and pistol shooters don't stand a chance. As an example, he closes the rifle range whenever he has his sporting clays business in operation, because his shot falls on the rifle range. But there's no conflict of interest. He charges $25 to $45 a round for sporting clays and pays the club $2.00 per shooter, and complains because he has to pay that much.

OK, rant off, and again I apologize.

Fred

After reading ReloaderFred's rant I am glad that I don't go to a shooting range to shoot. A friend of mine has acres galore for hunting, shooting, etc. I pick up my own brass but need a place to buy brass to replentish damaged, lost, bad ones, etc.

Thanks for the input guys.
