I just recently went to a friends birthday party and they had laser tag there. The bad thing was that the guns had no sights and the trigger wasn't in the normal place. Fun though.

I was thinking, when my birthday party comes around, where can I go to rent some MILES gear or simunitons to have real deal laser tag. I live in southern PA, but will travel a reasonable distance(say to any of the surrounding states if possible).

I don't want to play paintball with traditional paintball markers, don't suggest it. I want real mccoy guns, that look or sound like the actual firearm.

Thanks

Might try here..hear they do a lot of training here..

http://responsibleshooter.com/

I think the place was started by David DiFabio..he also hosts ammolab.com

Might think of airsoft..I know quite a few people are beginning to train with these..the gas airsoft guns..tend to weigh close to the same..can fire multiple rounds and are very accurate..

they are also a lot less expensive and you do not have the same worries about safety as with simunitions..

Simunitions, FX, et cetera are AFAIK, available to law enforcement only.

As for the MILES gear, all you have to do is go down to the recruiters and say "sign me up." :D

Seriously, though, only a few outfits are receiving the new "second generation" MILES gear that I've heard of, which means that the first generation stuff is going to be in use for a long time to come. I doubt you'll find any for sale on the civilian market.

BTW even if you do find enough MILES emitters and sensors, they work like crap on bright, sunny days, and slightly less like crap the rest of the time. :fire:

Look into airsoft, although I don't know of a way to rent quality airsoft stuff. However if you have a group of friends who are into this you can all buy some gas pistols for better yet electric rifles and have at it...

Here's my AEG, a Tokyo Marui Colt M733: http://www.dcpnet.org/media/M733Commando.jpg

I have a couple of buddies in the local PD..and they train with airsoft sometimes..one uses the caspian singlestack gas gun..think they are around $100..

they come in most if not all the gun types and makes..
