Where's all the AA#5

Where the heck is all the Accurate No. 5 powder. It has been unavailable from anywhere for months and months.

I've had it on order with two different suppliers in OKC for about 6 months now and both say they just can't get it.

Midway USA has been selling powder now for 3 or 4 months. They had No. 5 for a while but it quickly sold out and they've been showing it as unavailable since.

I know No. 5 is a popular blend (it is my favorite) and a year ago it was readily available - now I can't find it anywhere.

Is No. 5 maybe a powder used by the military?

Where's all the NO. 5 and when will it be coming back!!!!!

Your best bet would be to either email or call the company directly. The info you get from them will be direct, and not second hand info.

I emailed the company about the shortage of No. 5. Here is their response.

Hello Bruce,
Yes, #5 is out of the pipeline for a few months due to technical problems. Unfortunately, it will probably be July before you see # 5. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you have some specific calibers and loads in mind, please reply with what you are looking for and our ballistics lab can recommend some alternatives in Accurate or Ramshot if you are interested.

Oh well - who'd'a thunk a company would respond to an e'mail with a query about why one of their products was unavailable. NOT I! That's for sure.
